Merida BIG.NINE 10K Review
Ludwig Döhl
With fresh geometry and a lightweight frame, the BIG.NINE 10K wants to continue the rumor of days gone by. Over six years, the predecessor was on the market and had accordingly accumulated dust. The current Big 9 therefore has an easy game on this point. The weight of a bike is a central factor for riding pleasure on any kind of terrain. With 9,3 kg, the Racebike von Merida is one of the lightest Racebike on the market, which makes for great riding on singletrails. With its geometry, the BIG.NINE 10K is right in the middle between playfulness and high speed stability. Well trained athletes are likely to really enjoy the sporty seating position. Trail lovers should nevertheless be convinced by this argument: in the downhill, the coherent geometry ensures you´ll have a wide smile in your face. Merida gives 25 years warranty on the bike.
